Jürgen Grässlin – Breaking nuts with sledgehammers

Germany is currently number 3 among the world's largest exporters of weapons. But one man is fighting to change that: Jürgen Grässlin, a schoolteacher from Freiburg, has been standing up to the "big players" of the armaments industry – above all Daimler-Benz – for 25 years.

Grässlin doesn't anything let stop him from denouncing the corporations who support wars all over the world -- neither the horrendous court costs involved, nor the threats of physical violence he receives. For his book "Take cover when the shooting starts" (Versteck dich wenn sie schießen), he traced the path of German weapons into areas of civil war and conducted 220 interviews with the victims of German arms exports there.

After so many years, what is it that continues to drive him to develop new strategies for the battle against the big weapons companies?
